P. Septimius Geta
Dynasty: Severans
Augustus (AD 211-212)Geta was the younger son of the Emperor Septimius Severus, and brother of Caracalla. In AD 211 Severus died and left the empire to both his sons, who loathed each other. Unfortunately (or fortunately as seen by some) the situation ceased when Caracalla murdered Geta in AD 212. Reportedly Caracalla stabbed his brother himself when Geta fled into the arms of their mother, Julia Domna, for protection. He was reported to be a milder version of Severus and Caracalla, but as he was young when he died, and did not reign long, barely twelve months, there seems to be no clear picture of his character
