L. Aelius Caesar

Caesar (AD 136-138)

Lucius Aelius was the Governor of the two Pannonias and adopted by Hadrian in AD 136 as his successor. He was fond of luxury and died before Hadrian in AD 138. Hadrian then adopted Antoninus Pius, who in turn adopted Marcus Aurelius and Aelius' son Lucius Verus
