Augustus (AD 283-285)

The eldest son of Carus was elevated to Caesar and then co Augustus with his father. He was left with the responsibility for governing the West while his father and brother fought the Persian War. After Carus and Numerian died the Eastern army had proclaimed Diocletian emperor. Carinus brought the Western army to face him in AD 285, but was defeated
