Bronze denarius, 19mm, 2.93gm, issued AD 196-211 Rome mint.

Obv: IVLIA AVGVSTA, Bare-headed, draped bust right.

Rev: VENVS VICTRIX, Venus, naked to waist, standing left, holding helmet and palm, resting on column; shield at feet to left.

A "limes denarius", frequently made on the Roman borderlands in the late century, but with base metal instead of silver during the third century, an unusually crisp example.
