Silver denarius, 19mm, 3.86gm, issued 114/113 BC Rome mint.

Obv: ROMA, Laureate female bust (possibly Roma), right, draped and wearing diadem.

Rev: MNĀ·AEMILIO LEP, Three arches, on which stands equestrian statue - horseman wears cuirass and wreath and holds spear.

References: Sear 168, Cr 291.1.

The reverse alludes to an aqueduct begun by the censors M. Aemilius Lepidus (the moneyer's ancestor) and M. Fulvius Nobilior in 179 BC.
