Julia Domna

Augusta (193AD-217AD)

Wife of Septimius Severus, and mother of Geta and Caracalla. Born at Emesa in Syria, and became Severus second wife. She died in 217 after the murder of her son Caracalla, by a voluntary abstinence of food.
