Augustus (81AD-96AD)
|
Son of Vespasian and brother of Titus. Domitian succeeded his brother as Augustus in 81 AD. His reign is generally believed to be tyrannical although he did implement policies for the benefit of provincials. Minerva was his favourite goddess and features strongly on the reverses of his coinage.
